The Mandate

The History of Shalam Ministries International began in October 1999 when Femi Leke while he was a student at Word of Life Bible Center Uppsala Sweden had an encounter with the Lord. The Lord showed him a vision of people of different races who sat together in an auditorium and were all chained in both hands and legs and were also chained to one another. According to him; he was so touched by their conditions that he wished something could be done to help them.

Then a voice said to him: SET THEM FREE !

Again on 10th May 2002 while he was studying at Word of Faith Bible Institute Kaduna Nigeria, the voice of the Lord came to him in Hebrew 10:17., as Femi was thanking God and pondering over what message the Lord had for him from that scripture he was caught up in a 2 hours vision and was brought to a scene of the central train station in Uppsala Sweden. He saw dark skinned people carrying heavy burdens on their backs. They could hardly move due to the effect of the load.

Then came scene of sick people and the physically disabled.
They focused their eyes in his direction apparently seeking for help.
Then the same voice of the Lord came again and said:
“GO AND TEACH THEM THE WORD OF FAITH AND BRING THEM TO MY KINGDOM THAT THEY MAY BE RESTORED SPIRIT SOUL AND BODY AND MY NAME WILL BE GLORIFIED.”

Immediately after the formal training further preparation both spiritually and physically began in earnest for the smooth takeoff of the Ministry.  To the glory of God the first  public meeting of the ministry was held at the Amphi Theatre of University of Pretoria South Africa on 6th October 2006.

The Lord has been confirming His word with amazing testimonies of restorations.

Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake. Psalms 115:1 (KJV)
